Three of Britain's top offshore sailors today opened the Collins Stewart London Boat Show and took part in the Extreme 40 Challenge onboard Team Basilica to mark the launch of the new Extreme 40 Sailing Series for 2007 and the announcement of a new title sponsor.

BACKGROUND:
The Extreme 40 catamarans are the latest breed of high-performance grand prix racing yachts. These lightweight 40-foot boats can reach speeds of up to 40 knots and in just 8 knots of breeze can provide an exciting ride 'flying' on one hull. The new Extreme 40 Sailing Series will consist of a number of premium European events throughout 2007.
