The duo Robert Scheidt/Bruno Prada finished in third place, while Torben Grael/Marcelo Ferreira came in fifth and Alan Adler/Guilherme de Almeida took sixth place. The German team Johannes Babendererde/Jacobs Timo won the opening race, followed by the British team Iain Percy/Andrew Simpson, the reigning Olympic champions.
