Nick and the BT Extreme 40 crew ready for some iShares Cup racing
"Venice is simply stunning, and upon arriving everyone is blown
away by the beauty and the atmosphere of the city. On the
competitive front, I think everyone is a bit nervous, there are
a lot of new teams with extremely talented people, so it's
important to get off to a good start… even if there is 6 events
instead of 5 as it was the case last year. I think that in
Venice we can expect light and fluky conditions, and no one

First Victory of the season for the BT IMOCA 60
As winner of the two offshore races on Saturday and Sunday, BT
won the overall event ahead Foncia and Brit Air (Armel le
Cleac'h): "It was a great event that allowed us to test the
speed of the boat during the two first days of speed runs and
our tactical skills in the offshore races really paid dividends.
I'm really happy to have secured victory at this first event of
the season and it was really good to sail with full crew onboard
. A big thanks to the race organisation, they did an amazing job.

Ellen sets sail on first leg of the Ellen MacArthur Trust Skandia
Round Britain Voyage of Discovery
May got off to a great start for Ellen as she joined five young
crew sailing on the first leg of the Ellen MacArthur Trust
Skandia Round Britain Voyage of Discovery. In total around 85
young people all in recovery from cancer or leukaemia are
sailing 2,000 nautical miles around the coast of Britain. Read
