News > Race HQ preparing to move back to Les Sables d'Olonne
With the winner of the Vendée Globe expected to reach Les Sables d'Olonne around 19th January, the organisers are moving back from the foot of the Eiffel Tower in Paris to Les Sables d’Olonne. Race HQ in Paris will close its doors tomorrow after Vendée Live at 1200UTC. The daily show will be back on Friday live from Port Olona at the same time. The official Vendée Globe Village opens its doors at 10 am local time on Saturday 14th January.

A giant screen in the Village in Les Sables d’Olonne will allow visitors to watch the first boat home with a live transmission from the finishing line to the pontoon and the interview with the skipper on the podium. Vendée Live (in English) will be live at 1200UTC with Will Carson and Andi Robertson. A press conference will be held with the skippers when they finish.
?Just like during the weeks leading up to the start in the Village in Port Olona, you can visit the Vendée Globe exhibition in the area set up by the Vendée Department. Photos, unseen videos, viewers, sailing simulators… a different way to look at the Vendée Globe using the latest technology.
The exhibitors from Vendée and the race partners will once again be present to promote their business and who their commitment to the Vendée Globe. There will be the official Vendée Globe shop with all the associated products.

The famous bar and restaurant area for the Vendée Globe will be a place where people can get together and talk. On the programme special shows, round tables, autograph sessions, concerts, DJ Sets, special evenings... Please note that the VOG is open every day from 10 am to 7 pm from Sunday to Thursday and from 10 am to 2am from Thursday to Saturday.
